民進黨2014七合一選舉，競爭激烈的台中市長選舉提名，在前民進黨秘書長蘇嘉全宣布退選後，黨中央今（30）日表示，將由民進黨立委林佳龍、蔡其昌兩位參選人在12月30日進行民調。

針對台中市長選舉提名，民進黨成立協調小組，由身兼中常委的民進黨立院黨團總召柯建銘擔任召集人，協調小組中午開會。柯建銘下午出席中常會前，接受媒體訪問時說，蘇嘉全表示除非林佳龍、蔡其昌不參選，否則不會與他們競爭。

民進黨發言人林俊憲表示，蔡其昌和林佳龍兩人都同意，將和台中市現任市長胡志強做對比式民調，將在12月30日進行；至於南投縣長部分，將由前立委李文忠和湯火聖以互比式民調，在11月18日進行，決定提名人選。
