今天中秋節節連假第一天，昨晚出現塞車潮，尤其在彰化至王田路段，從昨天下午4點至凌晨2點，車速平均僅有50公里，昨從台北開車回嘉義民眾曾婉婷說，她開了快4小時，部份路段有塞車，不過還能接受。

國道公路警察第三隊指出，目前在中部地區時速平均有70公里以上，還算順暢。

國道公路警察第三隊指出，今年中秋節4天連續假日，高速公路局訂收費站暫停收費時段，昨天晚間11點開始至22日清晨6點為止，收費站不收費，民眾可以多加利用，省時又省錢。
