冰風暴襲美　亞特蘭大淪鬼城

美國有冰風暴肆虐，國家氣象局指此為歷史性天災，「大災難、大禍害、大癱瘓，形容詞由你挑」，冰風暴席捲東南多州後北上，直撲紐約、首府華盛頓特區、波士頓，籠罩超過1億人口，從路易斯安納到紐澤西之間多州宣布進入緊急狀態，目前13死、55萬戶停電，全國陸空交通大亂，近萬航班受影響，「歷史性災難」已釀13死，亞特蘭大市淪為鬼城。

喬治亞州首府亞特蘭大受害尤深，氣象專家凱斯說，當地沒有設備應付突如其來的冰雪，高速公路大塞車，許多駕駛在車上動彈不得數小時後棄車步行，公路成大型停車場，居民也足不出戶，23歲居民對《紐約每日新聞報》說：「城市裡所有事情都停擺了。」（簡竹君／綜合外電報導）
