冰島史上頭一遭 警察開槍殺死1人

冰島警察首長喬安尼森2日表示，警察2日射殺了一名男子，這在冰島「史無前例」。

人口只有32萬2000人的冰島，犯罪率是世界最低的國家之一，警察很少掏出武器。

這名被警察槍殺的男子年近60歲，他2日清晨在他位於首都雷克雅未克的公寓內用手槍開了幾槍，迫使警方撤離整棟公寓的住戶。

警方無法與他聯絡上，便用催淚瓦斯朝他的窗戶扔。這名男子開始朝窗外開槍。

特警小組進入公寓。一名警官被擊中頭盔，另一名被擊中盾牌，都未受傷。警方向男子還擊，男子被槍擊受重傷送醫不治。

喬安尼森說，警方對此事件深感遺憾，並向他的家人致哀。（法新社）
