電影《阿凡達》男主角山姆沃辛頓（Sam Worthinton）向來不喜歡成為鎂光燈的焦點，最近傳出和女友拉娜（Lara Bingle）已經私下低調完婚，最近小倆口走出酒吧時，因為不明原因竟讓他一氣之下爆打狗仔而被紐約警察逮捕。

據紐約市警方的資料顯示，山姆沃辛頓在紐約的格林尼治村和拉娜在一起，小倆口走出酒吧時，他因為不明原因淪起拳頭痛打狗仔的臉，在酒吧外上演全武行，雙方最後被逮捕到警局。他以傷害罪被起訴，目前已經被釋放，將在法庭接受審判；而該名狗仔則被控危害他人安全、傷害及騷擾等罪，仍在羈押當中。

山姆沃辛頓近日和女友拉娜一同外出時，手上戴了對戒，因此被外界懷疑是否搭上「好萊塢秘婚潮」，像《花邊教主》蕾頓米絲特（Leighton Meester）一樣低調完婚，因此有網友猜測，這次的打架是他要保衛剛結婚的嬌妻所做出的舉動，這件事是否會對正在加拍續集的《阿凡達》有影響，仍是未知數。
