聖城麥地那酒店起火　至少15死

沙烏地阿拉伯的伊斯蘭教聖城麥地那（Medina）一間酒店昨天發生火警，造成至少15人死亡、130多人受傷。

事發在當地時間下午2時 33分，麥地那一間住了700多名不同國籍伊斯蘭教徒的酒店起火，當局派出18輛消防車和14輛救護車到現場協助救援，消防員用了兩個半小時才能控制火勢。15名死者多數因窒息致死，逾130名傷者則分別送到附近幾間醫院接受治療。當局正調查起火原因。

麥地那是伊斯蘭先知穆罕默德的墓地，每年都有數百萬來自全球各地的教徒到麥地那和麥加朝拜。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
