深田恭子演技大爆發，在電影《我的恐怖室友》中，那「一秒變臉」的陰森演技，邪惡得令人不寒而慄，讓觀眾看到她完全不同於以往甜姐兒形象的另一面。

這回深田恭子在片中大開殺戒，拿刀把北川景子逼到死亡邊界。對於一系列冷血殘暴的演出，深田表示：「雖然很清楚為什麼要這樣做，但我的腦海就是很排斥，也很難接受這樣的橋段，只能在多餘的情感出現之前，以『先做再說』的方式去詮釋。」

《我的恐怖室友》全片充滿女女吻、潑硫酸、匕首插臉、鮮血激噴等激烈場面，就連北川景子都愈拍愈變態，還笑稱曾跟導演建議，想用更多血漿製造更多凶殘畫面。

兩位女星被問到印象最深刻的場景時，都不約而同表示：「最後一幕實在令人難忘！」觀眾也都被本片的結局給震驚到，並大呼：「原本看到中間，以為自己已經猜到結局，沒想到最後的真相竟是如此，有種恍然大悟的快感！」並力讚導演除了氣氛營造得宜，「賣關子」的功力更是一流。
