雖然屏東高中前役在驚濤駭浪中落敗，失去直接晉級機會，29日還是在外卡賽以79：68擊退一日兩戰的青年高中，相隔4年再度重返八強！

青年上午先以81：78淘汰后綜高中，經過不到3小時休息，再戰擁有「半地主優勢」的屏中，雖然體能明顯下滑，仍緊咬對手不放。

面對仍有一口氣在的青年，屏中中鋒鄭德維狂抓23籃板，包括11個保護禁區的防守籃板、與12個製造對手壓力的進攻籃板，另有14分進帳，成為昔日「南霸天」回歸的關鍵。

讀秒階段，青年放棄犯規戰術，提前舉白旗投降的那一瞬間，屏中教頭高丁國柱再也壓抑不住情緒，頻頻拭淚。

「這批球員有9成都是素人，生活起居、籃球場上都得照顧，有時候扮演教練、有時候當父親、偶爾又得當哥哥，看到他們表現出色，實在很感動。」高丁國柱哽咽著說。
