屏市萬年溪景觀橋啟用　綠美化吸睛

【陳宏銘／屏東報導】屏東縣政府近年積極整治綠美化的萬年溪綠帶廊道，今天上午位於建國路旁跨越萬年溪，銜接勞工公園與萬年公園的景觀橋啟用。63歲的當地居民李福進表示，以前萬年溪是屏市最臭的大排水溝，地方都笑稱「遺臭萬年」，現在沿岸景觀很綠、很漂亮，他與親友清晨或黃昏都愛來此散步運動。
 
萬年溪景觀橋編列5億元經費，歷時5年完工。橋全長254.7公尺，寬度在2公尺至8公尺間，橋體主樑採矩形鋼骨構造，外形如「牛車掛」，象徵緬懷先民駕牛車開墾。
