Samsung looking to establish data center with help from HP and Quanta

Samsung Electronics is reportedly seeking partnerships with Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Quanta Computer for its recently announced data center, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. Quanta declined to comment about the rumors.
Samsung recently announced plans to establish a data center at its Media Solution Center in Shanghai, China, with which some market watchers believe the Korea-based vendor will try to adopt similar operations as Apple and Google by pushing software and service businesses.
Since Samsung does not have experience in manufacturing servers, it has turned to seek cooperation from HP and Quanta.
Quanta is expected to see shipment growth of 20% on year for its server business in 2014, while related revenues are expected to grow even higher at 40%.
