埃及火車事故 20人喪生

埃及國營媒體金字塔報(al-Ahram)網站今天(18日)凌晨報導，首都開羅附近發生1列火車撞上1輛載貨卡車和1輛小型巴士的事故，造成超過20人死亡。

報導說，從巴尼斯外夫(Bani Swaif)發車的1列火車在吉薩區(Giza)附近的平交道撞上前述2輛車子。

埃及內政部1名人士告訴路透社，正在調查這起意外發生的原因，一旦有了結論，內政部將會發表聲明。

開羅南部去年發生一起重大交通意外，1列火車撞上1輛校車，奪走50條人命，其中大多數為兒童；在那之後，埃及的交通運輸網持續遭到批評。

埃及道路和鐵路的安全紀錄很差，長期以來，地方居民抱怨政府未能落實基本的安全規範，導致死亡事故不斷。

埃及最嚴重的火車事故發生在2002年，1列滿載乘客的火車起火，釀成至少360人喪生的慘劇。
