強暴犯僅罰割草 肯亞百萬人請願

肯亞警察對強暴者僅是懲罰割草了事，肯亞人因此發起網路聯署請願，要求還予被害女孩司法正義，聯署廿八日突破百萬。

十六歲的麗茲參加完祖母葬禮返家途中，遭到六人毆打與強暴，並將她丟進一個公廁糞坑。她找到工人使用的泥巴階，從深約三點六公尺的糞坑爬出，村人聽到她的呼救找到了她。

麗茲認得強暴者中的幾人，有三人因此被捕。村人以為警方會讓強暴者受到嚴懲，不料天亮時，警察給了三名強暴者三把彎刀，吩咐他們將警局四周的草割一割，即放他們自由。

麗茲因未能受到適當治療，導致她其後無法走路，必須仰賴輪椅。媒體本月初報導她的慘痛遭遇後，引發全國憤慨。檢方下令徹查；網路運動團體「阿瓦茲」則是發動網路請願，籲請警察總長立即逮捕強暴犯，將他們繩之以法，而縱放強暴犯的警察也應受懲。強暴犯目前逃逸無蹤。（英國廣播公司）
