【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】美國華盛頓廣場在昨日下午，有一名男子於鄰近白宮的華盛頓廣場自焚。警員和消防隊獲報後趕往現場，將火勢撲滅後立刻將男子送醫，目前男子生命垂危，仍在急救中。

由於昨日才發生一名女子企圖開車衝撞白宮，最後遭到警方擊斃的事件，因此這起男子自焚也引發美國社會緊張和關住。有目擊者指出，男子把一罐汽油淋上身後，就引火自焚。消防部門透露，傷者嚴重受傷，生命垂危，但沒交代姓名及年齡。
