北京時間9月28日早間消息，美國科技博客9to5mac援引耐克消息人士的說法稱，公司已招聘耐克的設計主管本沙菲爾(ben shaffer)。沙菲爾是耐克fuel band智能腕帶的主要設計者之一。

沙菲爾在耐克擔任“創新廚房工作室主管”。這是耐克的研發部門，負責設計新產品。在沙菲爾的領導下，耐克於2013年被《快公司》雜志評為最具創新性公司。耐克“創新廚房”參與了多款可穿戴產品的開發，包括fuel band腕帶和flyknit跑鞋。
