各大學陸續開學，校內到處可見揹著行李與大背包入住宿舍的大一新生。不過備受父母寵愛，導致生活自理能力不佳的「媽寶」、「爹寶」愈來愈多，政大法律系副教授劉宏恩即大聲疾呼：「媽寶別來修我的課！」

劉宏恩曾在課程大綱明白寫道「機車學生不要來」，因此被學生稱「機車教授」，現在他更在臉書上直稱：我的課不歡迎媽寶、爹寶來修。「大學」是給想當「大人」的人念的，不想轉大人的人麻煩你回去念中學、小學或幼稚園。至於喜歡找老師干涉教學和打分數的家長，麻煩你帶你的小王子小公主回去念有「聯絡簿」的學校，不要來干預大學教學。

劉宏恩希望他的學生能接受嚴厲的指正與磨練，如能遇見這樣的學生，他必定傾囊相授。相反的，如果學生學習態度欠佳，父母親竟反過來責怪家長，他肯定會罵該生「朽木不可雕也」！

他同時舉出幾個在過去絕不會見到的例子：有家長寫信來幫學子求加簽，甚至為了帶孩子出國玩，要求教授提前考期末考等，這些光景在大學內發生，令他相當驚訝。

劉宏恩認為，家長應讓孩子學習獨立，過度保護，將使他們不懂得對自己負責。他並呼籲外界好好思考，是否該檢討這些造成媽寶的怪獸家長。
