位於台南市永康區的「飛雁新村」隸屬空軍第443戰術戰鬥機聯隊所列管之空置眷地，為防杜空置眷地成為遊民、罪犯聚集滋事的場所，另為維護環境清潔、公共衛生及避免蚊蟲孳生，由基勤大隊政戰處長林國榮中校帶領17員官兵，前往進行雜草、枯葉清除及垃圾清理作業。

林中校表示，該眷地雖空置多時，但仍屬國有財產，且眷地內之「傳原通訊所」更是已列為台南市古蹟之一，需仔細照護，避免遭受有心人士蓄意破壞。

台南聯隊除不定期實施環境清整外，亦持續派員執行巡管工作，以確保該眷村及週邊社區居民安全，充分展現國軍愛民助民的精神。
