3月賞花除了令人期待的櫻花季外黃色風鈴花也是在這時節盛開，而且它不需要跑到風景名勝的賞櫻地區，在平地、一般公路就可以看到那艷黃盛開的花朵。
 
嘉166線竹崎鄉義和村段上的黃色風鈴花盛開得令人驚艷；中埔鄉和美村的村道也有條黃色風鈴木道值得駐足觀賞。
 
盛開時的黃色風鈴木，一朵朵豔黃的花朵掛滿了整棵樹，遠遠地看過去，彷彿在花木扶疏間潑上黃色顏料一般，帶有些浪漫詩意。
 
和櫻花一樣，花開時樹上沒有半點葉子，等到要花謝了才開始長出葉片，花朵就如其名，像風鈴又像小喇叭花。（李宗祐／嘉義報導）
