洛杉磯湖人「紫金一哥」Kobe Bryant因傷缺席17日的明星賽，取代他擔任西區後場先發的人選15日正式出爐，休士頓火箭「大鬍子」James Harden。

根據《雅虎運動》率先爆料，西區明星隊總教練、奧克拉荷馬雷霆主帥Scott Brooks親自點名，由他的前子弟兵Harden取代Bryant的先發寶座。

Bryant因左膝受傷，老早確定明星賽缺席，不過遲至今天才決定「代班」人選。

Harden本季平均每場攻下22.4分、4.4籃板、5助攻，連續兩年參與明星盛會。

2014年NBA明星賽將於15日起一連三天在紐奧良舉行，首日為新秀挑戰賽，16日為技術挑戰賽、三分球大賽、灌籃大賽，17日是重頭戲明星正賽。
