【動新聞】曼德拉逝世　享壽95歲

【國際中心／綜合報導】南非總統祖馬剛剛正式宣布曼德拉於12月5日逝世，享壽95歲。祖馬稱，「我們國家失去了最棒的子民」，並宣布全國降半旗致哀。

曼德拉，全名納爾遜．羅利拉拉．曼德拉，一九一八年七月十八日生於南非特蘭斯凱的烏姆塔塔地區坦姆布族，父親為酋長的首席顧問。曼德拉的父親早歿，由酋長充當監護人。因為這個緣故，曼德拉本來有機會繼承酋長地位，但年幼的曼德拉對法律產生了興趣，立志要當律師。另一方面，聽到族中長老講述祖先抵抗白人入侵的故事後，曼德拉決意要為自己的人民爭取自由。
