性侵女記者 印度知名雜誌總編輯遭逮捕

印度知名新聞周刊「喧囂」(Tehelka)的創辦人兼總編輯泰帕爾(Tarun Tejpal)，因涉嫌性侵女記者，在30日遭到警方逮捕。

根據受害女記者指控，喧囂周刊10月中在西印度假勝地果阿省(Goa)一家飯店舉辦同仁進修活動時，泰帕爾在活動期間對她兩度性侵。

這起性侵記者的醜聞爆發後，引發印度各界怒火，媒體界更是同聲譴責。

事件爆發後，泰帕爾被停職6個月接受調查。警方在調查後於30日逮捕泰帕爾，如果若犯行屬實，恐將面臨10年牢獄之災。

印度法界人士指出，去年新德里巴士集體輪暴案導致1名女大學生死亡，社會譁然。事件發生後，印度刑法做出重大修改。按照新法，泰帕爾最高可能被判10年徒刑。

泰帕爾和他的雜誌在印度頗有名氣，美國商業周刊還曾於2009年報導，泰帕爾是印度最有影響力的50位人士之一。
