【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】澳洲生物學家指出，最近他們在昆士蘭海岸邊發現一隻特別的水母，這隻水母在生物史上的最後記錄停留在1910年，但最近又「重出江湖」，讓生物學家相當驚訝。

生物學家指出，這種水母名為「Crambione Cookii」，體長約50公分，擁有巨大並劇毒的刺，只要生物被牠碰到，必死無疑。生物學家表示，一次他們在放生海龜的活動中，發現這隻奇特水母。目前生物學家正在進行研究，想了解為何該物種在消失100年後，又會重新出現在大海裡。
