根據 SamMobile 的報導，一個編號為 V700XXUAMK7 的 Samsung Galaxy Gear 更新已經推出了，其最大的重點就是為用戶帶來海量的程式通知支援，而且更可以在錶上顯示其內容。在此之前，用戶都需要尋求第三方軟體的支援，才有上述功能。不過用戶在更新之後，需要自行進入 Gear 的通知設定頁，點選自己想 Gear 顯示的通知類別，它們包括較熱門的 Facebook、WhatsApp、Hangouts 和 Evernote 等。所以日後用戶收到通知時，終於不必取出手機才能閱讀了。另外，早前有指 Gear 的退貨率高，未知此舉會不會有助減少打回頭的 Gear 呢？
