【大紀元2013年10月31日訊】（大紀元記者陳熙暖荷蘭報導）今年6月在盧蒙德（Roermond）市被發現救助的男性棄嬰經DNA檢測，找到了他的胞姐——兩年前發現的另一個棄嬰。2011年10月，在距盧蒙德100公里的德國境科隆附近的許爾特（Hurth）市發現了這個女嬰，也就是男嬰的姐姐。

社會工作者正在考慮把弟弟交由姐姐的收養家庭來一同撫養。根據DNA 檢測結果可確定兩個孩子生自同一個母親，尚需進一步檢查是否同一父親。兩個嬰兒被發現時都用毯子包裹、棄置路旁、臍帶用夾子夾住。

荷蘭幼兒保護委員會的數據顯示：荷蘭平均每年就有一個棄嬰被遺棄在公共場所。自2003年以來的12例棄嬰中，8名幼兒的生母經檢測被查出。據荷蘭法律，拋棄孩子將處以4.5年監禁，或2萬歐元罰款。但公訴部門尚未對棄嬰生母提起過訴訟。
