過度獵捕穿山甲　專家估計20年後絕種

【於慶中／綜合外電報導】國際自然保護聯盟(International Union for the Conservation of Nature，IUCN)估計，穿山甲(Pangolin)可能在20年之內絕種。

屬於哺乳類動物的穿山甲，身上佈滿鱗片，被不少亞洲國家民眾視為美食佳餚，加上傳統中醫認為穿山甲有藥用價值，可治惡瘡和睫毛內插，以及改善血液循環，一直都有不法分子非法買賣穿山甲，每隻可售7千美元(約台幣21萬元)。由於人類過度捕殺穿山甲，造成穿山甲的數目急降。中國的穿山甲由1960年代至今，數量已大幅下降94%，不法商人隨後轉移到印度、巴基斯坦和非洲捕捉。國際自然保護聯盟估計，中國和馬來西亞的穿山甲，明年就會被列入「極度瀕危」類別，再過20年將會完全絕種，同時棲息在非洲的穿山甲很快也會絕種。
