【綜合報導】英國《每日郵報》報導，網路流傳一段影片，顯示在肯亞商場恐怖攻擊事件中，有一名婦女帶著孩子躲藏起來，趴在地上「裝死」避免被武裝份子發現。一名便衣警察此時爬向他們，表示要幫助他們逃出商場。勇敢的便衣警察抱起年紀較小的孩童，帶著婦女與另一名小孩衝出商場，由軍人接應逃離地獄。
 
肯亞總統肯雅塔稍早發表電視演說，稱恐襲事件已落幕，肯亞官方結束攻堅行動，共5名匪徒遭擊斃、11名疑犯被捕，有61位平民喪生。但主導這起攻擊的索馬利亞武裝組織青年黨（Shebab），今天在推特貼文宣稱，共有137名人質在挾持過程中喪生。
