據香港《明報》報導，香港向來被譽為好客之都，法國市場調查機構Ipsos 2013年2月訪問來自24國的1.8萬人，選出全球48個城市，就『做生意、居住、旅遊』三大範疇評分，從而得出『全球最受歡迎城市』排名，結果顯示，最受歡迎十大城市，香港排第8，成為榜上兩個亞洲城市之一，另一個繫東京，排第7；單就『做生意』一欄，香港排全球第4。

根據中新網報導，全球最受歡迎城市，由美國紐約脫穎而出排第一，英國倫敦同法國巴黎則緊隨其後並列雙亞軍，近年有意打造成文化樞紐的阿聯酋阿布扎比，令人意外高居第4，凌駕之後的澳洲雪梨、瑞士蘇黎世等。
