女人的臀部是表現女性美的重要部位之一。但其實從心理學等其他角度而言，臀部的大小還有不少奧秘哦！心理學家發現臀部越大越聰明，而且臀部大的女性更長壽。

臀部愈大，智力愈高

根據新浪報導，美國心理學家史特納斯發現，臀部大小與人的智商成正比，人的臀部愈大，智力愈高。那些聰敏無比的傑出人物都是『寬臀族』，他指出，埃及豔后、拿破崙、聖女貞德、美國國父華盛頓等歷史偉人都是臀部特別大的『寬臀族』，美國前總統約翰甘乃迪則用特別訂做的衣服來遮掩過大的臀部。

這項為期五年的研究發現，在276名成年人參加的智力測驗中，有152人臀部較大。這些『寬臀族』平均得分為137分，比臀部尺寸小的106高出31分。心理學家史特納斯的研究表明，確實人的臀部愈大智力愈高。

大臀女可能沒有身材苗條的美女性感誘人，史特納斯說，若必須作選擇，他寧願選頭腦而捨外貌。他表示，『寬臀族』不應為臀部寬大而自慚形穢，反而應該為這種體型感到高興。

臀部大的女性更長壽

臀部大的人除了智商更高外，在健康度和壽命上也更有優勢。與臀圍最小的一組研究物件相比，臀圍最大的一組不僅死亡率少了87%，患冠狀動脈疾病的幾率也少了86%，而患心血管疾病的風險也少了46%。

不過，雖然之前的研究顯示臀圍小的男性和女性都面臨較高的糖尿病、高血壓和膽囊疾病的患病風險，這次預防醫學研究院發表於《過渡肥胖研究》期刊的研究成果僅發現，對男性而言，較大的臀圍並不代表心臟較健康。
