印度北方省宗教衝突 28死

印度北部的印度教徒與穆斯林週末爆發嚴重衝突，儘管軍方實施宵禁，但這波宗教衝突今天(9日)擴大到鄰近地區。

印度警方說，北方省(Uttar Pradesh)穆薩法納加(Muzaffarnagar)週邊的村落7日發生槍戰和街頭戰鬥，造成至少28人死亡，另外還有更多人下落不明。北方省政府官員說，印度軍隊已進駐當地，並且奉命可以對暴民格殺勿論。

截至今天上午，印度警方已經逮捕90人；然而，這波暴力持續擴散，連夜蔓延至鄰近的沙姆利區(Shamli)和米魯特區(Meerut)。

根據北方省政府官員，數十名暴民攻擊一群士兵，士兵開槍還擊，但沒有打中任何人。這些軍人是在8日晚間從發生暴動的瓦齊普村(Wazidpur)撤離民眾。

這波暴力衝突開始於7日晚間，數以千計信仰印度教的農民因為1名婦女遭到言語騷擾，而與穆斯林發生衝突，許多人攜帶了槍枝、刀劍。

事件透過手機和社群媒體傳播，助長了暴力的擴散，並且增添軍方恢復情勢平靜的困難度。

穆薩法納加的商店和學校今天都關閉，軍隊在民房裡搜索武器。

穆薩法納加位於印度首都新德里北方約125公里。
