【詹智淵、孫英哲／彰化報導】日月明功虐死高中生案，陳巧明今天凌晨出庭時表示，這是一件不幸事件，她始料未及，她和這些朋友都是善良，她不曉得詹媽媽會做出這樣傷害的事。陳巧明面對媒體詢問是否向死者詹淳寓道歉時表示，當然要，她並向社會大眾道歉；然當媒體問她認不認罪時，她搖頭再稱，始料未及，並要媒體不要炒作。今天凌晨二時三十分，法官訊後仍裁定羈押禁見，將陳巧明還押彰化看守所。
