聖誕假期網購爆發　UPS運量超載

【陳冠穎／綜合外電報導】美國網路零售大爆發，聖誕節前夕買氣大舉出籠，節前最後周末銷售額暴增37%，龐大物流壓力超過UPS（優比速）預估，加班仍難以消化，小部分貨物無法趕在聖誕夜送達，必須留待周四才能派送。
 
聖誕節前最後周末，實體零售買氣不佳，但網路零售業績卻暴增，據IBM旗下研究機構IBM Digital Analytics統計，聖誕節前最後周末（12月20日~12月22日）網路零售暴增37%，其中行動裝置下單激增53%，佔整體逾5分之1。
 
在網購物流暴增下， UPS上周全美總計運送了1320萬件包裹，包含空運及陸運平均1秒鐘運送300件。
 
然而UPS發言人高德文（Natalie Godwin）表示，由於物流需求遠超出預期，UPS的空運包裹數量遠超過負荷，公司雖已盡力配送，但小部分物件無法及時在周二聖誕夜前送達，聖誕節當天雖暫停送貨，但物流中心會預先整理包裹，以利周四開始儘早完成配送。
