加國郵政虧損連連　結束到府遞送

【周佩萱╱綜合報導】加拿大郵政近年來因邁入電子化時代，民眾郵寄需求減少，從2008年至今郵寄量減少25%，導致郵政開始虧損，如果不進行調整，估計2020年前虧損將高達10億加幣(約台幣280億)，當局11日宣布將分階段在5年內，結束挨家挨戶送信服務，還會調漲郵資，往後信件或包裹等郵寄物品將統一遞送到各社區，目前加拿大已有三分之二的地區都是統一寄送到社區，再由民眾自領。
 
結束到府送信服務，預計最多將有8千人因此失業，郵政當局估計每年將可省下7億到9億加幣的開支，郵資部分則將至少調漲35%，從明年3月31日開始漲價。
 
不過郵政工會表示這項撙節計畫，才會導致加拿大郵政結束營運，當局應該擴大服務項目，而不是縮減，工會將會發動抵制，並呼籲民眾加入。
