科技網站《BGR》周三 (27日) 報導，三星電子 (Samsung Electronics Co.)(005930-KR) 初代智慧手表出師不利，但消息指出公司並未萌生退意，將推出第二代 Galaxy Gear 捲土重來。

根據南韓媒體《ETNews》指出，下一代 Gear 最快將於明 (2014) 年第一季問市，三星考慮將與其最新旗艦手機 Galaxy S5 同步推出。

消息來源指出，下一代 Galaxy Gear「將比初代產品薄約 15-20％，且在便利性和攜帶簡易度上，將作出進一步的改善。」

由此可見，三星看來對於下一代 Gear 智慧手表抱持信心。初代產品銷售水準讓人失望，市場成績不起眼外，商家亦履傳退貨情形。

先前媒體稱，Galaxy Gear 推出迄今僅賣出不到 5 萬支，雖然三星澄清對通路商出貨量已達 80 萬支，但實際對顧客銷售量依然不為人知。

本日韓媒消息顯示，三星新機皇 Galaxy S5 將於明年 1 月投入量產，正式上市時間估計落在 3-4 月。
