震後近4年 海地逾17萬人仍住帳篷

2010年1月發生的海地強震即將屆滿4週年，當初造成數十萬人流離失所，但至今仍有超過17萬名難民住在帳篷等臨時居所中，生活極為困苦，有時還會被驅趕。

加百列(Widlene Gabriel)今年8歲，有近一半的人生在帳篷區度過；她與家人住在一條幹道旁私人土地的帳篷區內。

加百列從來沒上過學，白天就是盯著往來的車輛發呆，她說：「2010年1月12日，我們家的屋頂垮下來了，我沒有受傷，但房子沒有了，我們全家才來這裡。」

一名擁有6個孩子的婦女納希兒(Manette Nazius)表示，跟加百列有類似遭遇的孩子不計其數。

加百列所住帳篷區入口的15號帳篷充當教堂，一小群婦女吟唱著聖歌，一位年約60歲的牧師則站在入口，他表示：「我們仍然會以禱告提供難民精神支持，這些人都被當局給拋棄了，一無所有，但上帝不會再懲罰他們了。」

儘管如此，許多難民表示，他們不抱任何希望，覺得自己早被遺忘了。

海地地震造成約25萬人死亡，重建計畫至今卻進行地相當緩慢；而海地在地震發生前就已是全球數一數二貧窮的國家，地震發生後，立即造成150萬人無家可歸。
