Samsung 與 Corning 達成換股協議，突現長期穩定供貨的戰略意義

Samsung 在 LCD 顯示面板已成一方之霸，Corning 則以優異的 Gorilla Glass 玻璃產品取得廣大市佔率。今天兩家公司宣布達成換股協議，兩強的戰略合作關係令人注目。協議內容包括 Corning 取得三星康寧精密材料公司（SCP）的控股權，而 Samsung 可優先認購 Corning 股份，總計 19 億美金換算後將佔 Corning 股份的 7.4%。協議中還包括雙方的穩定供貨關係，應該會讓這家韓國大廠至少到 2023 年以前的玻璃貨源都不虞匱乏，當然其中最重要標的無疑就是常用於高階行動產品的 Gorilla Glass 了，而這也與 Apple、HTC 和 Motorola 等公司密切相關。Samsung 自己也是面板與零組件的最大供應商之一，兩強的合作看來會讓不少競爭者有壓迫感啊！
