根據英國廣播公司報導，推特共同創辦人多爾西10月1日在以伊朗總統羅哈尼為名的帳號推文問他：「伊朗公民是否看得到你的推文呢？」羅哈尼回推：「我將努力確保他們能看到全世界的推文訊息，這是他們的權利。」

外界認為，這段溝通透露伊朗可能解禁推特、臉書等社群媒體。
