The company said it is aiming at Europe, China and other markets in Asia, and hopes to mainly drive shipments through sales of Philips TVs sized 42-inch and above. Philips reportedly also has plans to release Ultra HD TVs in second-quarter 2013 that will use HCG/WCG panels from AUO.
The company added Philips hopes to hold a 5% share in the Taiwan market throughout 2014 and hopes to increase its share in 2015.
Meanwhile, Philips plans to release new monitor products in November sized 24-, 27- and 29-inch with 2560 by 1440 resolutions.
