巴基斯坦7.8強震 至少30死

巴基斯坦西南部俾路支省(Baluchistan)偏遠山區今天(24日)發生規模7.8強震，地方官員表示，目前已知最少有30人死亡，好幾十間房間遭到摧毀。

美國地質調查所(USGS)指出，這起地震發生在當地時間今天下午4時29分，也就是台灣時間今天晚上7點29分；震央在俾路支省(Baluchistan)庫茲達市(Khuzdar)西南方大約100公里處；震源深度15公里，屬於極淺層地震。

美國地質調查所先前測得規模7.4，震源深度29公里；後來分別修正為規模7.8，深度15公里。巴基斯坦官方所測到的是規模7.7。

震央附近為人煙稀少地區，不過，地質調查所仍然發出紅色警戒，警告說，根據過去紀錄，如此強震可能造成重大傷亡。巴基斯坦地震學家也發出了類似的警告。

遠在印度的新德里都可以感受到輕微震動，而印巴邊界城市阿默達巴德(Ahmedabad)的辦公族紛紛逃出建築物，跑到街道上。

今年4月間，伊朗東南部與巴基斯坦俾路支省毗鄰地區，也曾發生規模7.8強震，造成41人喪生，巴國境內有1萬2千多人受到波及。

2005年，喀什米爾發生規模7.6地震，造成最少7萬3千人死亡，幾百萬人無家可歸，是巴基斯坦最嚴重的天災之一。
