第40屆放送大獎頒獎典禮在首爾汝矣島KBS大廳舉行。

頒獎典禮由諧星申東燁擔任主持，「鳥叔」PSY和KBS 2TV《Gag Concert》的申寶拉被授予個人獎。

EBS TV《Docuprime-資本主義》、KBS 2TV電視劇《順藤而上的你》、SBS TV電視劇《追擊者》等30多部節目榮獲作品獎。

此外，偶像團體2NE1、歌手宣美、K.Will等人登臺為觀眾呈獻精彩演出。
